| Ross' letter announcing Arthur is to become a Roshi in September 2012: | ||||||||||||||||
| Dear Members of the New Zealand Diamond Sangha,
On Sunday September 2, 2012, I will be giving Transmission to Arthur Wells, at the end of a five-day Sesshin in Christchurch. I appointed Arthur to teach at Journey's End back in early 2008, and he has developed into a fine and inspiring teacher. His heart, humanity, and efforts on behalf of the Way have touched many people in New Zealand, and indeed here in Australia and elsewhere. Through his teaching skills, and inspiring example, Arthur has helped to build a strong group in Christchurch and has fostered the Way throughout New Zealand. I am grateful for Arthur's fine teaching work, and I'm delighted to see it flourishing. I want to acknowledge the work of Mary Jaksch Roshi and Glenn Wallis Roshi, who have also supervised Arthur's teaching and helped in his training. I am grateful to them for their work, which has contributed richly to Arthur's development as a teacher.
